Peru Naturtex Partners, a contract manufacturing organization, vertically integrating organic fiber production (cotton and alpaca) with sustainable processing for over 125 different eco textile products. We are also very pleased to announce that Naturtex is the first company of its kind in the Americas to be both organic and FT certified.
Please take a moment to tell us more about the projects you have in mind, and what cotton goods you would like to source from Peru. Naturtex produces many different eco textile products, including pima yarns in various counts, apparel, sheets, towels, and some accessories, in both cotton and alpaca. It is our policy to send sample swatches free of charge if you can supply us with an international FedEx or DHL account number.
In the space below, let me tell you a bit more about Naturtex.
Naturtex offers a full package approach to your business model, and can provide you with some existing designs as well as selections from our inventories for a organic baby and adult ranges. However, the minimum order is 650 units per style and color, min 2,500 units per order. So with say 4 styles in four colors, you might be looking at over 2,600 units, with an avg price of USD 8.50-10.50/unit, ex works, Lima, Peru.
There is an explosion of interest in organic, and we are the oldest continuously certified company in the world I have been told. We are also the first and to date only company in the Americas to be Fair Trade certified in textiles. Our prices are not high, but very high, as is the quality (at least we try our best!). You might want to check out the FIN Fashion runway collections http://www.finoslo.com/en/ collections made from our organic Pima cotton sent all the way to India, as well as the HUG http://www.hug.co.uk/categories/Womens_Womenswear_Page1.html and Ideo www.ideocollection.com brands for UK and France respectively.
American brands include http://www.redmaplesportswear.com/store/ , http://www.mamaom.com/ , www.scoutbaby.com, http://www.fangfashion.com/ and http://www.osaj.com/ and www.ecobutterfly.com
We take care of all the labels, hang tags, packaging, natural buttons, nickel free snaps, and other special eco trim. We can do both hand and machine embroidery, custom printing and packaging (check out some of the links below for visuals).
Since 1994, all our cotton production is certified organic by SKAL and we are now the company with the longest history of Skal certification world-wide. The cotton production and spinning is also Fair Trade certified by FLO but the prices have to be adjusted for this Fair Trade premium when requested..
Our min export order for fabric is one roll of about 100 meters per article if in stock. If you require a variety of qualities, we can cut short lengths in most cases.
Naturtex was founded in 1997 to recover the naturally pigmented cottons and alpaca from near extinction, and thereby create a demand for these heirloom Andean fibers in support of the artisans, indigenous farmers and pastoralists that depend on natural fibers for their livelihoods. These naturally pigmented fibers are extremely durable, color fast, extra long stable, extremely soft, durable and the naturally pigmented forms are said to have anti inflammatory properties.
Currently our organic pima cotton, Fair Trade certified knits for tops and bottoms, can be used for the entire range of products seen on your interesting website. We also produce organic denim, woven in two colors, dark indigo and gray/black, in a premium combed pima cotton denim for fashion jeans aimed at the adult market..
Naturtex supports several projects with the Indian peasant farmers and artisans in the jungle and desert where they have been awarded loans from the Cambridge-based organization Ecologic Finance, to cover their cash needs to cultivate the organic pima cotton we use for the Hug baby and adult line and for the Altromercatto (Italian) baby collection. The naturally pigmented cotton fiber is obtained from Indian farmers in the high jungle of Peru, where the cultivation of colored, organic cotton constitutes an alternative to illegally grown coca leaf. I am taking the liberty of attaching a few brief news notes on our organic cotton, Drug Free and organic alpaca projects.
Tshirts will run from USD 5.00 to 12.00 ex works depending on the sizing, colors and volume of the order. For knits, our min is 650 units per color/fabric, which of course can be used in more than one garment. The min custom order for wovens is 2,500 lin meters, and for knits 500 kgs per construction.
The denim is woven in medium weights 11.5 oz. which is versatile enough for both cool and warm weather, and jeans are sold at USD 30,00/pair, ex works, Lima, Peru. The min per style is 500 units (with say 4 sizes), but if a different weight is required, the min is 1000 units per style. However, the min for custom logo printing/embossing on labels and studs/rivets, is 3,000 units. We can always make up the min amount, charge for these but hold them for future orders.
We have knit organic pima interlock in stock in ecru and eco bleached, navy and black colors, a fabric I would recommend for both children's active wear and adults maternity and sports lines. We also have denim in stock in both colors for proto development. You might also find our use of pure copper in textiles unique, an intimate blend of organic, combed cotton with copper, known for its extraordinary therapeutic benefits for human health and well being.
Our policy is to charge double for the protos, but this payment is then counted as a credit toward your first order of same if made within 12 months of the proto manufacture. A usual time line for production requires about 2 months for proto development and approval, and 2 additional months for production after the protos are approved (if fabric is in stock; if not, an additional 2 months are needed).
We manufacture the entire garment in Peru in FLO CERT inspected facilities, what is known as full package manufacturing. We also work out the shipping details and can air drop all over the world in a matter of days.
We require a down payment of 50% on each order, balance on export, as according to Fair Trade principals, we must also provide financing to our partners, the indigenous cotton farming families of the desert that have been working with us for over 25 years.
Please let me know how else we can help share the luxury organic apparel from Peru with your distinguished organic/Fair Trade clientele.
